About the Rimon Winery

In the heart of the Galilee mountains, just above a beautiful and lush pomegranate orchard, lies Rimon Winery, the very first pomegranate-based winery worldwide. Pomegranates have been in Israel since the beginning of time, being one of the 7 holy species that the land of Israel naturally provides to us all. And what better way to nourish ourselves than with delicious, sweet pomegranate wine?

What once began as a few colorful pomegranate trees grown in Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra by a local winemaker, eventually turned into a unique and delicious winery! Initially grown for their immense healing properties, it soon became evident that this superfood was beneficial for so much more than that! They were delicious, and came in many different varieties too, which one local winemaker set out to expand, as he committed to creating a whole new variety of pomegranate himself.

Well, his efforts were successful, because within a few years, his pomegranates reached 1.5 kilograms- some of the biggest pomegranates out there! After some testing in the laboratory, it was found that his pomegranates actually contained the same high sugar content as grapes do. Perfect for wine!

Soon after, the Rimon Winery came to be, beginning only with a few hundred bottles of pomegranate wine, but quickly growing in size due to such high success. With praise from both wine amateurs and professional wine connoisseurs alike, today, Rimon Winery produces hundreds of thousands of bottles each year, sold and shipped internationally!

What makes pomegranate wine so wonderful?

Well, aside from its obvious unique tastes, pomegranate wine brings with it a huge array of health benefits.
