Chocolate balls, in Hebrew known as the famous כַּדּוּרֵי שׁוֹקוֹלָד, can be found all over Israel, from classroom birthday parties at school to elegant and boutique bakeries. While these delicious treats may not have been invented in Israel, they have definitely become a staple here. Not only are they popular with children and appeal to almost every picky eater, but they are also incredibly easy to make! No oven needed!

For this reason, they make the perfect activity for children’s birthday parties, not just eating them, but making them! You can also pop by one of Israel’s famous bakeries like Roladin or Aroma, and try their more “mature” and eclectic variety of chocolate balls.

The best part is that this dessert can be made in so many different flavors, with so many different toppings and decorations!

Check out a simple recipe you can make with kids, here!

P.S. Chocolate balls can be made vegan, gluten-free, healthy, or filled with delicious sugar! You choose!
