Havol Al Hazeman - חֲבֹל עַל הַזְּמָן

Pronunciation: Ha·vol al haz·ze·man

Literal translation: Shame on the time (we know, it makes no sense)

Probably the most confusing phrase in the Hebrew language… or at least one of them. But how is it used in Modern Hebrew? It is actually a positive phrase, meaning anything that was completely worthwhile, totally awesome.

Example: iKonnect is havlaz (haval al hazman)!

Nope. It has a dual meaning, the main one being "waste of time", such as commenting on this post.
