Israeli Cuisine Done Right - Internationally Acclaimed Israeli Chefs

As we all know by now, Israeli cuisine is the best in the world. Nobody can argue with that. Nobody. Israel has native chefs that have spread out across the world, to share its marvelous foods and culture with everyone else. Let's meet some of them.

Gal Ben Moshe

Ben Moshe was born in Rishon Letzion in 1986 and started his culinary career in Tel Aviv. In 2012 he moved to Berlin, and in November 2018 he opened the Prism restaurant in the city. In March 2020, Prism received its Michelin Star. What an honor!

Ori Menashe

Chef Ori was born in Los Angeles and moved to Israel with his parents when he was eight. After the army, he moved back to L. A and is there to this day. In 2012 he opened the Bestia restaurant, which is now considered one of the best places in the city. He later opened Bavel, a Mediterranean place where he introduces Israeli flavors and dishes to the L.A crowd. Menashe has quickly made a name for himself and is one of the hottest names in the L. A food scene!

Haya Molho

Molho was known mostly for being the wife of famous Israeli mime Sami Molho, but now she runs a culinary empire in Vienna and throughout Europe. After 10 years in the industry, Molho's restaurant Nani has 10 branches across Europe, she manufactures salads that are sold in 1600 supermarkets across Austria, and she even made a replica of a trendy Tel Aviv beach restaurant on the Danube River. Yes yes, a replica of the beach, with the sand and everything.


Michael Solomonov

Born in Israel in 1978, Solomonov is most famously known for his Zahav restaurant in Philadelphia. This Israeli-style restaurant awarded Solomonov with the James Beard Award for best chef in 2011. In 2015, he published the cookbook "Zahav: A World of Israeli Cuisine", which was nominated for the James Beard Award as well. Solomonov is a true ambassador of Israeli cuisine.

Yossi Hadad

Hadad has been working in kitchens since he was 16, and at the age of 32, he became the youngest and the first Israeli head chef of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. 22 years ago he moved to Bucharest and quickly became a local food celebrity, even becoming a judge on the local Top Chef show. Today he owns Joseph, the best chef restaurant in Romania, and another Bistro. Keep spreading the Israeli word Yossi!
