Mefo'ar - מְפוֹאָר

Pronunciation: Me·fo·'ar

Literal translation: Lavish, luxurious



Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic how people hosted celebrations has changed a lot. Notably, weddings were no longer able to include everyone from your coworkers, your best friend from summer camp when you were 12, and your dog walker.


Once mefoar weddings have been scaled down to the closest family and friends, becoming more intimate and meaningful. Even as restrictions have been lifted, it is very possible that people will continue to choose smaller, simpler weddings
