#Pakal_Kafe: Ein Yedidya
Here's an interesting fact about Israelis - They like to take a pakal kafe with them on hikes in nature, or when they visit their nearby ma'ayan (spring). (or sometimes use them at home!)
Why? Do you ask? Well, simply because there is nothing more Israeli than enjoying the outdoors with a nice steaming glass of fresh coffee (*Don't worry, there is always emergency tea for the non-coffee drinkers).
The story
Next to Moshav Yonatan in the Golan Heights awaits a large and deep pool, hidden from the sun, with plenty of places to sit and chill.
The pool, which is 4 x 5 meters and about 1.5 meters deep, receives its water from the Gamla stream that flows nearby. This is not a natural pool, but an artificial pool, built in the memory of Yedidya Tor R.I.P., who was killed in a tractor accident at the age of 18.

The pool has water all year round, and next to it you will find a shed, tables, and lots of comfortable, shaded seating areas.
Who was Yedidya Tor?
Yedidya Tor grew up in Mitzpeh Netofa and learned in the Yeshiva in Hispin. He was killed in a tractor accident when he was just 18 years old.
What to expect?
After a cold swim in the pool, you can sit by the edge with your feet in the water. Rest in the shade of the sukkahs or relax by swinging on one of the hammocks that hang among the eucalyptus trees.
The area is clean but there are no garbage cans, so bring your own bags and take your trash with you when you leave.
What you need to know
1. The water is cold. Since the ma'ayan sits in the shade all day it doesn't get warmed by the sun. It may get very cold close to the wintertime.
2. Religious Moshav. Moshav Yonatan is a religious moshav. It is best not to arrive on Saturday in a car.

Directions
Drive to Moshav Yonatan. About 2.5 kilometers after turning in the direction of Yonatan from Route 808 turn left onto the dirt road [at the beginning there is signage to the spring].
It's possible to get to the spring itself with a private car, but be careful driving on the gravel road. It’s better to park on the side and walk 900 m by foot, rather than risk the damage.
